Family Therapy
Whole families can come to therapy as a way of working on a difficult dynamic whose origins are in the relationships that members have with each other (for example couples with parents or parents-in-law, parents with adolescent or younger children, nuclear and extended family members). For example, I have worked with adult parent/child clients who would like to work towards a more honest and fulfilling relationship. Sometimes a family has a child who is “acting out” and they are unable to manage this. Coming to therapy as a family group or as portion of this group, such as a mother and daughter, means looking beyond the individual at the larger family system and its component sub-systems.
Prices for family therapy are the same as those for couple therapy – $100-$150 on a sliding scale.
